This Month's Piece

The crash echoed through the courtyard. Belldandy and Keiichi turned towards the sound, their eyes resting on the entrance to the Motor Club's garage. A sigh escaped from Keiichi's lips as he pulled himself to his feet. One hand reached for Belldandy's, and he easily helped her from the park bench they'd been seated on. "We'd better go see what just happened," he muttered, although he was certain whatever the mess was, he'd be stuck cleaning it up. Belldandy silently flashed him a simpathetic smile as the pair headed for the garage door....

Last Month's Results

FIrst Place - Jenbunny Skuld marched down the hallway of the Temple Tarikihongan, dressed only in her pajamas and a pair of slippers. It was just past midnight and she was trying to get some sleep, however, the constant racket down the hall had kept her from falling into a slumber. Enraged, she flung open the door to Belldandy's room. Her eyes widened and her hands flew to cover her mouth as she saw this huge black monster laying on her sister’s bed.

Skuld squeaked in fear as the monster turned its big brown eyes on her and let out an echoing bark, obviously the source of the racket that she had been hearing all night long. The goddess frantically searched the room for her sister, positive that this monster had somehow eaten Belldandy or harmed her in some way. After a moment, Skuld was certain that Belldandy was not in the room. She quickly turned, about to race off to inform Urd that their sister had been eaten when she ran smack into Belldandy herself.

The younger goddess hugged Belldandy tightly and cried, "You’re alive! I thought that you might have been eaten or something."

Belldandy smiled at her younger sister and laughed gently before saying, "Don’t be silly Skuld, Brian is a sweet old dog that would never harm anyone."

The goddess grabbed her sister’s hand and dragged the resisting Skuld further into the room. Belldandy quickly went over to the huge dog’s side and rubbed his ears affectionately before saying, "Isn’t he the sweetest little dog, Skuld?"

Skuld gave the dog a reluctant look before glancing back at her sister and muttering, "Little isn’t a word I would have used for him Belldandy. This dog is almost the size of a horse ... where did you find him?"

Belldandy smiled brightly at the dog, before turning to her sister and saying, "I found him outside searching for something to eat. I couldn’t leave a starving animal outside in the rain could I? I brought him to get him something to eat and to give him a nice warm place to sleep for the night."

Skuld continued to stare at the dog doubtfully for a few moments before shaking her head and saying, "I don’t think the others will like this Belldandy ... where would we keep such a huge dog anyway?"

Once again Belldandy laughed before saying, "There is an address on his collar, I was going to take him home tomorrow morning. Don’t worry Skuld ... Keiichi already knows he’s here and I’m sure Urd won’t mind either. He’s just here for the night ..."

Skuld sighed in annoyance before grumbling, "Well keep him quiet would you? I’m trying to sleep." With that the youngest goddess turned and left the room, hoping that she might be able to get to sleep now that she knew what the source of the noise was.
