Sailor Moon Myths

There are many myths that people make up about Sailor Moon. A few are presented here along with the truth behind them.

Myth 1: Neptune is seen in one of the bubbles of moon children who are sent to Earth to be reborn.

This is rediculous. To start, the anime was only planned for one season, hence the reason the senshi die in the end and forget that they are soldiers. Since there were no plans for futher season, there could not have been plans for Sailor Neptune at this time.

Secondly in both the manga and the anime, the outer senshi lived on the outskirts of the solar system. Since they did not live on the moon, why would they have been there to be reincarnated? The manga clearly states that the outer senshi reside in their own castles on their own planets. Neptune herself lives in castle Triton.

Finally, in the manga, after the deaths on the Moon, the outer senshi come together as their talisman vibrate and bring about Saturn and the destruction of the World. The Outer senshi aren't killed until the blade of Saturn falls, therefore, once again, they were not on the moon.

Myth 2: Chibiusa is really Pluto and Mamoru's daughter.

This is rediculous. To start, Sailor Moon is not based on Genetics and Biology. Who really cares that Chibiusa has pink hair and crimson eyes. She has pink hair and crimson eyes because Naoko wished it so.

To futher disprove this myth, only those with the blood of the moon family can use the power of the ginzishou. Chibiusa uses the ginzishou in Sailor Moon R to fight the Death Phantom. The only way she could have done so was if she was Usagi's daughter. Mamoru does not have moon blood, nor does Pluto.

Myth 3: Haruka was a Prince in her past life.

Um No. Haruka has been and always will be a girl. The manga states that she possess the qualities of males, but she is distinctly female. Whoever made this myth up was way off the mark. Naoko herself even stated that Haruka was female.
